Uncovering Family Roots

For the longest time, two dark and sort of creepy painted portraits of my ancestors hung on the walls of my Grandmother's house in Rye, NY. The painted portraits had been passed down the family line, linked to my Grandmother's vague recollection of her family, only remembering snippits of information from an aunt and uncle after her parents had passed on at an early age. My Father has been tracking our family lineage over the years and with the help of ancestors.com continues to put the pieces together.

Here are a few pix from one of his latest finds...

These are actually the grave stones of the two ancestors in the painted portraits and other immediate family members, buried in Hudson, NY.
